NEWS: New Webpage and Revised Project Outlook
Hello Everyone,
as part of an overarching revision of our approach on how to handle the project, this webpage has undergone some major changes. Most importantly, it is now a static page that will only see sporadic news updates. Our focus will be on the gradual expansion of articles and tutorials.
Project Outlook
FoA2 has languished in development limbo for many years. This doesn't mean that we have given up on it. We took a good look at what we really want and how to accomplish it. A major conclusion has been that there must be no dependancy on public expectations. We have made and broken promises far too frequently, and have frustrated many hopeful fans in the process. A number of team members do not wish to work under such conditions; for them, the project is a hobby that should depend only on their own enthusiasm and inspiration.
As such, we want to dispel any false hopes that a release may occur in the near future. FoA2 will be released if and when it is ready. This could take many years. Until then, this webpage will serve as a resource for background information (and perhaps the occasional news item on ongoing progress).
We realize this may be frustrating to some of you, but we ask for your understanding for our decision. Only this approach will get us somewhere.
We'd also like to thank the many, many fans who have contacted us with suggestions and criticism in the past, and invite you to continue doing so in the future.
Forums
We decided to close the public forums. An archive of old discussions may be provided at a later time. You can still contact the team through team@amberfisharts.com, or join us on IRC (#amberfisharts on QuakeNet).
Hiring
Amberfish Arts presently is not hiring new team members or freelancers. Open positions will be announced on this webpage, as well as via the newsletter.
